Close up of
wild green onion bulblet cluster, maybe 1/3 larger than life size.
They are so amazingly beautiful, it makes you want to decorate with them.
These
bulblets can be eaten raw, cooked, pickled, dried for later use in soups and
stews, or planted.

Trying my hand at a zen arrangement, this one sat on my coffee table for 3 or 4 days and several visitors asked what in the world it was. They had never seen such a "flower". After drawing attention to the matter, I gave each person a few seeds to take home and plant some of their own. Gardening can be so social!
